I'm excited to share that I've been a proud member of the Castle View family since the 2022-23 school year, bringing with me over a decade of experience in higher education. In the Douglas County School District, I've been serving as a counselor since 2020, working at both middle school and high school levels.
I received my Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Maryland while on active duty in the Air Force. Building on that foundation, I pursued a Master's in School Counseling from the University of Phoenix in Colorado, culminating in the achievement of my most recent professional milestone as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Having grown up as a military dependent, I gained a wealth of life experiences both stateside and overseas. Colorado has been my home since 1999, and I settled in the Castle Rock/Castle Pines area since 2008. Presently, I have a freshman attending Castle View and a middle school daughter who will join CV soon.
My passion lies in guiding and supporting students through a collaborative partnership with students, parents, and the school community. I'm committed to helping students discover and embrace their talents, ensuring they receive valuable learning opportunities.
Within the school community, I actively contribute as an EARSS Mentor, a member of the Care Crew team, part of the gifted identification team, and collaborate with the Cultural Liaison. Additionally, I serve as the Military point of contact on the counseling team, aiming to offer comprehensive support in academics, social-emotional well-being, and career development for my students.
Outside of school, I cherish precious family moments with my blended family including our beloved fur kiddos Norman & Decker. Leading an active lifestyle alongside my husband, Craig, is a priority. Whether it's engaging in CrossFit, cycling, swimming, or simply enjoying the picturesque Colorado scenery on my Vespa or convertible VW Bug, staying active remains a paramount focus.
I'm thrilled and extremely grateful to be a part of the Castle View Sabercat family while living my passion which truly is contributing to the success and well-being of our students.
